My Role

As the UI/UX designer, I was responsible for redesigning the Agora Tutoring Profile Page at the request of the platform’s owner, who felt the original design looked outdated and unattractive. Working within the existing design system, I created a refreshed profile page that not only aligned with the platform’s brand identity but also improved overall readability, clarity, and user experience.

Project Overview

The original interface featured a dark navy header and gray card backgrounds, which made the page look heavy and uninviting. In the redesign, I replaced the dark header with a white background to create a lighter, cleaner, and more modern feel. Importantly, keeping the header white also preserved the logo in its original deep blue color. If the header had remained dark, the logo would have needed to be inverted to white, which would have diminished its visual impact and weakened its role as the core element of brand recognition. Similarly, I changed the card backgrounds from gray to white, which improved text readability since the content is primarily black text.
